4 Years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

On Friday Gabe and I spent the day together, we started out with his 4 year pictures.  He did great and smiled in way too many making it hard to pick.  They were able to airbrush the black and blue mark out of the center of his head.....  after the pictures we headed home to watch some tv and play some games.  On our way to my doctor appointment (sinus infection) Gabe asked if I was having another baby, I said no why.  His response, you don't feel good and you are going to the doctor so their is a baby in your belly.  He comes up with some good ones.  Then it was off to the garden center for some fall flowers for his birthday party.  He picked some nice ones.  We had so much fun togther, that he asked to spend time with me again, without his brothers.  Typical middle child syndrome i have been told.  He has always been different from the day we got pregnant with him.  Everyone notices how different he looks, but if he had dark hair and eyes he would be his brothers to a t!  Each day with Gabe is different, he is a ball of energy that doesn't stop!

 

 

 

Tale of the Tape-Times 2!

Well having kids in the same month only really comes back to haunt  when  you spend countless hours in the dentist and pediatrician's office.


Cooper and Nathan had their pediatrician appointments 1 day apart (I may be a little nutty at times but I am not insane to take them at the same time)

1st up-The big Brother.....

After the great dental appointment the pediatrician appointment let us know how much he has grown in the last year.....

Gained 6 pounds to 52 lbs-75%
Grew 1 inch to 46 inches- 50%


2nd up the Little Brother

 

And let's face it he is the little brother....

Gained 2 lbs. and 13 ounces to 20 lbs even-26% 

Grew 2 whole inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to 27.5 inches-still not on charts.....

 

 

Cooper is as tall as Nathan was at 6 months but weighs almost as much as Nathan did at 12 months.

 

Gabe will be up in the next few weeks.....he is little tougher to work with in the offices....too much energy (and i have none!)

Happy First Birthday Sweet Cooper

Well my little love is 1. I kept him up too late last night, but I needed to hold him at his exact birth time 9:58 pm.  He didn't mind, nestled in my arms rocking in the chair.  On so many blogs I see people pick things about their child by the number of months they are.  I couldn't do that with Cooper.  There are too many things to pick from.  The thing that I love most about my little love is that he needs me. Not in the same way the older boys do, but he loves me so intensly.  Mark comments all of the time that the way he loves me is so different than the other boys.  Maybe it was all the snuggles he got thru his colic bouts or when I protect him from a rambocous older brother.  But he needs me more.  He is tiny but mighty, and has a smile that can melt your heart.  He was playing with Gabe and got so excited he bit me.  Not wanting a repeat of the biting torture of the past (Gabe liked to bite and still bites Nathan in really bad knock down drag out fights) I put him down and sternly said no, the boo lip and the tears that followed made so sad, I am going to have a hard time discipling him in the future:)

9 Years Ago Today.....

 

It seems like yesterday......

1st Day of 1st Grade

I wanted a nice picture of the first day of school that we could all look back on....

so I took the first picture.....but thought maybe I can get an even better one.....that was a big mistake...so in your mind you must count down from 5, because this next picture was only 5 seconds later..

But Nathan had a great first day and loves his new teacher....even with his fake sad eyes....

You might remember from an old post that Cooper loves to steal food...he acts like we don't feed him.  Nathan made the mistake of putting his egg wrap down.  When he couldn't find it we tracked the crumb trail back to this little thief......

Birthday present

with the hussle and bussle of the party we didn't get the car put togther in time.....but he loves it.  He can't reach the peddles but likes to sit in it and try to eat grass.....

Super 1st Birthday Bash!!!!!!!!!!!

For Cooper's birthday we decided to go with a Mini Cooper theme.....orignal I know but it fits our little man.

We ordered a pinata online (it kind of looks like a Mini Cooper)

 

It showed up 1 hour prior to the party so we had to stuff it fast... it was way bigger than I thought it would be.

Aunt Jo Jo made another awesome cake.....

 

 

I asked for no dark colors.....I should have known she would be evil....

 

He loved the taste and got so messy!!!!

 

By the third kid you realize the easiest way is to bathe them after the cake....

 

but while he was getting his bath, Aunt Jo Jo indulged her little blonde nephew with ice cream....
